Digested read – How to organise your business in the Digital Age.

October 10, 2018

Adjusting the operating model for success and overcoming stalled digital efforts.   The digested read is an ongoing blog series where I take a white paper or long-form article and digest it to a palatable five minute or so read for you. TL;DR? I read so you don’t have to.   This week we are looking at Organising for a Digital World by Jenny Davis-Peccoud, Laurent-Pierre Baculard, Greg Caimi and Oliver Straehle. They all work for Bain and Company.

It is time to adopt a modern marketing mindset

May 16, 2018

WHY YOU SHOULD ADOPT A MODERN MARKETING MINDSET   I’ve been mulling over the flip flop from marketing to digital and back to marketing. To be more prescriptive I have been mulling over how marketing led companies abandoned insight based strategies to pursue channel specific digital strategies as the world changed radically in 2007 with the arrival of the iPhone. In the last year and a half I’ve been encouraged to observe right thinking companies tackle the integration of traditional…

RattleBerry RoundUp - UX Talent Agencies:

August 8, 2016

Here at RattleBerry, we work with various companies to help them source UX talent, both at the research level and the design level. RattleBerry Roundup - Ad blocking:

July 17, 2016

Consumers are ultimately selfish and contradictory. They demand content and service of the highest quality, but with minimum cost or no commitment at all in response to it. It's a marketer's worst nightmare and greatest frustration, especially with the rate at which technology is advancing.   One of the frustrating things for us to come out of this overdemanding consumer mindset are ad-blockers; which ultimately put your business opportunities at risk and can make your efforts fruitless. A quick google search show's that it's not hard to get this software, and Google despite making much of its revenue through ads, encourages adblockers, making them available on their own store:

Why You Need to Invest In Business Model Innovation:

May 11, 2016

With the constantly changing and evolving digital and online media market landscape, it pays to not just be one step ahead, but three. There are many ways to do this but almost always does it link to innovation and creative strategies and practices to keep your business one above your competitors. Developing a strategy to achieve this isn't easy, but one of the best ways and most popular means of doing so today is by using a Business Model Innovation Chart. Business model innovation can be described as: "Achieving transformational growth often means changing how you engage with customers. Business model innovation is about fundamentally rethinking your business around a clear—though not always obvious—customer need, then realigning your resources, processes and profit formula with this new value proposition."
